The project was born in 1994 from the artistic encounter between Roberto Taufic, a highly original and versatile Brazilian guitarist, and the singer Simon Papa, who has always been a passionate interpreter of Brazilian folk music.
With this project, pieces by the most interesting exponents of MPB, Musica Popular Brasileira, are proposed, with its remarkable rhythmic variety and its great melodic-harmonic richness. Through an original rereading of these pieces, that uniform and original sound characterizing the two musicians was created.
Among the revised works figure those by Tom Jobim, Djavan, Dorival Caymmi, Chico Buarque, Milton Nascimento, Guingo, Edu Lobo and Ivan Lins. Original compositions by Roberto Taufic and Simon Papa are also proposed.
