Baticumbando is a project that over the years has involved the collaboration between different musicians, both Brazilian and Italian, all sharing different artistic backgrounds, but the same passion for Brazilian music, its thousands of colours, its great rhythmic variety and its incredible melodic-harmonic and poetic richness.

All this was born from the artistic encounter between the Brazilian guitarist Roberto Taufic and the Italian singer Simon Papa, which took place in 1993.

The great friendship that has always united these musicians completed the picture for an ever fruitful collaboration, and one that is always evolving, was presented in numerous live performances, various recordings and also workshops on the Brazilian Popular Music.
